I thought I would give this a try- I managed to convince my husband to part with 250ml of his vodka (expensive brand/Christmas present) so I could make some vanilla extract. It is super simple, just take a cup of vodka, add a couple of vanilla beans-seeds and all, put in a jar and in just a quick 4-6months you have your own Vanilla Extract! I know its a long time to wait, but I figure it will be worth it!!
The vanilla extract above has been sitting in a dark cupboard for just a couple of days….
